The Gore Arts Complex at Mississippi College is located on the east side of campus in the old Clinton Junior High. Dr. Gore drew floor plans showing how this space could be renovated for the MC studio art programs, even constructing a 3D model of the building and studios he saw so clearly in his mind’s eye.
Every detail in the new space has been planned and designed to create art and engage the community. The space includes specific studios for painting, sculpture, papermaking, pastels, and woodworking. It also includes an outdoor, covered kiln and courtyard for firing ceramics. The new facility also features an auditorium suitable for large classes or as a gathering space for the MC and Clinton communities.
